2. Paan Singh Tomar

How can we miss a movie in which Irrfan Khan stunned everyone with his acting and also got the National Film Awards for Best Actor for the role that he played…. The story is based on the real-life Indian soldier who was an athlete and had won a gold medal in the National Games but due to circumstances, he was forced to rebel against the government and the system.

3. Piku

This movie showed us that Irrfan Khan who was known for intense roles is equally comfortable in doing comedy as well. Moreover, “Piku” is quite special as it also stars the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan along with Deepika Padukone.

4. Madaari

In this flick, Irrfan Khan played the character of a heartbroken father to the perfection. The protagonist lost his son due to the negligence of the administration and for taking revenge, he kidnapped son of the Home Minister.

6. The Lunchbox

The movie depicts a love story but of different type as it started over lunchbox when a young wife sends a note for her husband with tasty dishes but due to some misunderstanding, the lunchbox is delivered to an old man who is about to retire.

7. Maqbool

The film is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and what is commendable on the part of Irrfan Khan is that he made his presence strongly felt despite the fact that the flick also starred some senior actors such as Pankaj Kapoor, Om Puri and Naseeruddin Shah.

8. The Warrior

Directed by Asif Kapadia, this 2001 released movie is a must watch because it stopped Irrfan Khan from leaving acting. The actor was a little upset at that time as he was not getting any good roles in films and he was quite bored with working in TV shows.

9. Haasil

The movie which released in 2003 was based on student politics and Irrfan won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for this flick.

10. The Namesake
