“Is Rahul Tewatia Single?” Asks Tinder India Hilariously, Gets Reply From Rajasthan Royals

Cricket a very unpredictable game just like life and Rahul Tewatia proved this statement correct once again. In the Kings XI Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals match which was played yesterday, there was a time during the game when everybody felt that Punjab would go home with two points, especially when Rahul Tewatia was batting in a test match style.

Batting first, Kings XI Punjab posted a huge total of 223 runs on the board with the help of Mayank Agarwal’s century (106) for which he played only 50 deliveries and he was well supported by KL Rahul who scored 69 runs. Nicholas Pooran also helped his team by smashing 25 runs in just 8 balls.

RR had a bad start of the innings as their star batsman Jos Buttler got out early after scoring only 4 runs but skipper Steve Smith and Sanju Samson stabilized the innings. Sanju who was the hero of the last match also played a great knock of 85 runs (42) while the skipper scored a half-century. But after they both got out, things seemed uncertain for RR and what surprised everyone was that Rahul Tewatia was sent above the order and that too when RR had Robin Uthappa, Tom Curran and Jofra Archer in the line-up.

Rahul Tewatia was getting slammed by the RR fans as in the first 19 balls that he played, he scored only 8 runs while the required run-rate was going up. In the last 3 overs of their innings, RR needed to score at the run rate of more than 17 and with Rahul Tewatia on the crease, it looked almost impossible as he was playing at 17 in 23 deliveries.

However in the 18th over which was bowled by Sheldon Cottrell, Rahul Tewatia turned the tables upside down as he went berserk and scored 30 runs of the over by hitting 5 sixes. Tewatia departed after scoring 53 runs of 31 balls and his teammates ensured that the team won the match.

Soon Rahul Tewatia became a sensation and the social media networks were filled with news about him and his turnaround innings. One of the most popular dating sites, Tinder India also took to Twitter and asked whether the sensational batsman is single.

Here is what Tinder India tweeted, “Is Rahul Tewatia single? Asking for a friend.”

The official Twitter handle of RR responded soon and asked Tinder India why they don’t ask it directly from Rahul.

Tinder India further gave this conversation a funny turn by mentioning that the whole nation wants to know about Rahul Tewatia’s relationship status.
