Sheldon Cottrell & KL Rahul’s Adorable Gesture On A Fan’s Request Will Make You Respect Them

The story of Kings XI Punjab is no less than a fairytale in the IPL 2020 as the Punjab franchise was able to win only one match in the first seven matches but then it made a surprising comeback and won five matches in a row. However, Rajasthan Royals broke their momentum by defeating them in the match which was played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on October 30.

RR won the toss and decided to field first, putting to bat KXIP showed its batting strength by scoring a good total of 185 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Chris Gayle missed his century just by 1 run and got out at 99 and other than Gayle, the skipper KL Rahul also played a good innings of 46 runs.

Rajasthan Royals got a good start as Robin Uthappa scored 30 runs while Ben Stokes scored a half century for which he played only 26 balls. The other batsmen Sanju Samson (48), Steve Smith (31) and Jos Buttler (22) ensured that their team attained victory and that too with 15 balls remaining to ball. Rajasthan Royals won the match by seven wickets and Ben Stokes was adjudged the player of the match as he also took 2 wickets other than scoring a half century.

Sheldon Cottrell is one of the most famous cricketers of KXIP, especially because of his salute celebration and recently, he was contacted by a fan who wanted a reply from the skipper of KXIP KL Rahul. Sheldon Cottrell has played six matches for the Punjab franchise and has taken six wickets.

The Twitter user wrote, “Hey @SaluteCotterell Sir I am Juman from Guwahati. Can I get a reply from @klrahul11? Please help me sir #mydream.”

Sheldon responded soon; he retweeted the fan’s tweet, tagged KL Rahul and told the fan that he would talk to Rahul but his skipper is very busy. Sheldon Cottrell’s tweet read, “Look I’ll speak to him but he is very busy being the mastermind of epic strategic proportion”.

The tweet was soon observed by the skipper who is holding the orange cap at present with 641 runs at an average of 58.27. Undoubtedly, KL Rahul is in superb form as he has scored a century and five half-centuries in the tournament.

KL Rahul replied by telling Sheldon that he is trying his best to perform and thanked the fan for his support. He wrote, “Haha @SaluteCotterell  I try my best. Hey Juman @cool_rahulfan thanks for your support. Stay safe and take care”.

KXIP is at the fourth spot in the points table with 6 wins in 13 matches while RR has also kept its hopes alive of entering into the play-offs by defeating KXIP.

Let’s see whether KXIP will be able to enter the play-offs or not.
