As per the reports, the actor Abhishek Bachchan is all set to enter politics and it is being said that he will be contesting Lok Sabha elections from Prayagraj on Samajwadi Party’s ticket. However there is no confirmation regarding this either from Samajwadi Party’s side or from Abhishek Bachchan’s side.

It will be interesting to see whether Abhishek Bachchan will enter politics or not as in an old interview of 2013, Abhishek stated that though his parents have been into politics yet he strong feels that he would not enter politics. He further added that he may play the role of a politician on the screen but in real life, it is a big NO from his side.

Abhishek’s father Amitabh Bachchan fought elections in 1984 in order to support his friend Rajiv Gandhi. Big B fought the election from Allahabad (now Prayagraj) and won as he got 68 percent votes but in 1987, Amitabh Bachchan resigned from his seat as opposition parties and other leaders alleged that he is a part of Bofors scandal.

During an interview, Amitabh Bachchan stated that he was emotional when he entered politics but he came to know afterwards that there is no emotion in politics.

On the other hand, Abhishek’s mother Jaya Bachchan is a Rajya Sabha MP from Samajwadi Party.
