The prices of tomatoes have created problems in the lives of Indians as it is being sold between the range of Rs. 200 and Rs. 250 per kg and as it is an important ingredient of Indian food, Indians are finding it very difficult to fit it in their budget. Though the Indian government is selling tomatoes at the price of Rs. 80 per kg yet it won’t solve the problem as not everyone will be able to buy tomatoes from those locations and what is more worrisome is that the experts are saying that the prices may cross Rs. 300 per kg mark.

However, a Twitter user revealed a funny incident related to tomatoes and it is really mind-blowing. The Twitter user @Full_Meals revealed that her sister was coming from Dubai for summer vacations of her kids and when she asked their mother as to what she wanted her to bring from Dubai for her, the mother asked her to bring 10 kg tomatoes. Interestingly, the sister did what the mother wanted and bought 10 kg tomatoes in suitcase.

The online user tweeted, “My sister is coming to India from Dubai for her children’s summer holidays and she asked my mum if she wanted anything from Dubai and my mother said bring 10 kilos of tomatoes. 😑😑 And so now she has packed 10 kg tomatoes in a suitcase and sent it. I mean…….”

In response to a question, she stated that her sister put all the tomatoes in pearlpet jars and brought them to India, she tweeted, “hahha yes. Apparently she put it in big pearlpet dabbas and put the dabbas in a suitcase and brought them :D”

One user also asked her how they would consume so many tomatoes before they rot and she replied with, “Ahahahha. As a family we use a ridiculous amount of tomatoes so my will make a like a pickle, a chutney, bring some for me 😬”
